Stephen Burrows pieced ensemble consisting of cap sleeve top and knee-length skirt in red, blue, yellow, black, pink, orange, maroon and purple wool blend; predominant pattern is red, yellow, blue and black stripes of varying widths.

(a) Top is pieced with irregularly shaped pieces of fabric; patterns vary; curved and straight seams utilized; round neckline with red zig-zag topstitching; cap sleeves; red zig-zag topstitching around lower edges of sleeves; vents at side seams; red zig-zag topstitching around hem; back is seamed differently from front; no fasteners.
(b) Skirt has wide, inset elastic waistband; A-line; only seam is a diagonal seam at front; extends from PR hip to hem; red zig-zag topstitching around hem; no fasteners.
